Mindful Parenting - How to Parent with Patience & Love
There are many challenges parents face raising kids in a world filled with constant electronic stimulation and greater pressure than ever before. Unlike the generations before, we are faced with the unique challenge of helping ourselves and our children slow down, calm down and be more present in our lives. Children as young as preschool age are learning mindfulness as a way to regulate their emotions, calm their already busy minds, and cultivate their innate kindness and creativity.
We cannot teach our children these skills if we do not practice them ourselves. As parents we lead busy, hectic lives, and mindfulness can help us to slow down and be more present, patient and loving with our children. It can help us become more grounded, and change the physiology of our brains so that we can respond with love and wisdom, rather than react impulsively.
Join Cheryl for this Mindful Parenting Workshop for an experiential evening of mindfulness and learn more about the benefits and the practice of mindfulness. You will leave feeling calmer and better-equipped to deal with the stresses of parenting and with important tools to help you and your children thrive!
This workshop is a continuation of our parenting series designed to give parents tools to stay calm, centered and connected so you can manage the roller coaster of raising children in today's busy and chaotic world. In this workshop, we will build upon basic mindfulness skills to explore how to manage challenging emotions, communicate mindfully and be mindful during challenging parenting moments.
You will leave the workshop with concrete tools that will help you (and your children) lower stress and anxiety, stay focused, foster deeper connections and increase joy. No prior experience with mindfulness is required for this workshop. This workshop is geared for parents with children of all ages.
